Come Closer, I’ll show You What I See! VR and the Next Level of Social Communication

Ulrike Stemmer

20 min talk
VR technology is isolating people from the real world, from social interaction and from communication in general – At least that’s what they say. And parts of it are completely understandable if you look at the immersive game-like experience we’re all creating at the moment.

VR technology is isolating people from the real world, from social interaction and from communication in general – At least that’s what they say. And parts of it are completely understandable if you look at the immersive game-like experience we’re all creating at the moment.

But there’s another layer to this: VR can be used to connect people and share an experience in a way which was never possible before. By creating a space full of information, people can guide each other through experiences, senses and emotions. This form of communication opens up a new chapter of interaction and user experience.

Using this approach of interaction, we’ll show how VR can close existing communication gaps.

Let’s uncover a phenomenon which is currently not visible for everyone and create a collective experience!
